Lifeless
She lay on the ground.
Alone, waiting for the love that she sought for.
The agonizing pain of not having found love blazed and blistered within her like the inferno that so greedily devours the flesh.
The feeling of agony had consumed her soul down to the delicate, temporary vessel that embraces it.
The pain was too much to bear.
Though now the answer seemed clear
